These proxies provide added protection by inspecting all inbound and outbound traffic at the protocol level ensuring that applications and end-users are protected. In addition, BorderWare SteelGate provides anti-malware, anti-virus, and anti-spyware protection, and integrates with the BorderWare ReputationAuthority, the most effective reputation system in the world that blocks and monitors email and Web traffic at the perimeter. By tracking multiple threat types in real-time, BorderWare SteelGate makes a more informed and accurate decision about network traffic.

High Availability and Scalability

Using a combination of embedded servers, application gateways and hybrid proxy technologies, BorderWare SteelGate is able to provide the most flexible and secure firewall architecture available. VPN Services

BorderWare SteelGate's integrated IPSec VPN Server supports both server-server and client-server VPN connections. The IPSec VPN Server is fully standards-compliant with capabilities of supporting a wide range of encryption methods for privacy and compliance, and also supports connections with a large range of third party devices. BorderWare SteelGate also has the ability to provide remote VPN access to corporate networks, and may be managed based on centrally managed policies. For added protection, the product incorporates a personal firewall to prevent "hijacking" of VPN connections by Trojan Horses and similar threats.
