    • Advanced interoperability protocols: Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) and Extended Authentication Protocol (XAUTH) supporting RSA SecurID® and RADIUS.
    • Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP): Provides interoperability with certificate authorities that support online certificate requests.
    • Gateway hostname resolution: Provides the ability to resolve the name of the Secure Gateway Tunnel entry using DNS, WINS, and LMHOST.
    • Automatic certificate selection: Allows the client to send its own certificate based on the request of the peer instead of requiring it to be locally configured and/or allows the client to accept any ID from the peer as long as the accompanying certificate is issued by a "trusted" CA.
    • Virtual adapter support: Allows an IPsec gateway to assign network settings for improved network functionality with other applications.

    VPN Acceleration

    NATsmartT
    CyberGuard's fully integrated VPN lets you set up, configure, operate and manage network address translation (NAT) dynamically from the same management interface. Many VPNs simply don't work correctly in a NAT environment. NATsmart enables VPN access through NAT for connections between remote private and public networks protected by CyberGuard firewall/VPN appliances. You can operate NAT dynamically and turn it off for encrypted private-to-private network tunneling.
